This is a 16 size Elgin pocket watch,15 jewels, grade 313, made about 1909. It is stem-wind and set and has an open-faced nickel case, about 2 inches across.
The dial and hands on this watch are very good and the watch runs well. It's only real issue is that the crystal (which is glass) is in poor condition, but it has no large chips, it's just scratchy. The watch is completely readable. The photos taken in sunlight show this. The movement however is about as clean as they come. This is a nice, basic watch.
